To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated production assistant (m/f/d) to join our shiftbased quality assurance (QA) team in our press shop as soon as possible. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our high quality standards are met and will help to keep production running smoothly.

Your responsibilities

• Carrying out quality checks on production machinery and manufactured components
• Measuring, testing and carrying out visual inspections
• Carrying out boiling and weighing checks
• Documenting test results
• Creating and managing approvals
• Processing and documenting reject reports
• Maintaining and checking accompanying documentation
• Recording reasons for downtime and production-related data
• Helping to maintain order and cleanliness in the production area
• Handling test and measuring equipment with care in the workplace

Your profile

• Ideally, a completed technical or vocational apprenticeship
• Professional experience in production or quality assurance would be an advantage
• Technical understanding and a meticulous approach to work
• Quality awareness and a keen eye for detail
• A sense of responsibility and reliability
• Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to work shifts

Your Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of tooling projects, from receipt of the customer order through to production approval for new tools and tool transfers
• Delivering customer projects on schedule, within budget and in accordance with quality requirements, including project controlling
• Managing internal and external project communication and acting as the link between customers, suppliers and specialist departments
• Selecting, supporting and evaluating national and international tooling suppliers
• Planning, coordinating and carrying out tool acceptance procedures and tool transfers
• Organising and monitoring assigned tool maintenance activities and providing support in the event of critical tool damage
• Defining maintenance intervals for all tools within the area of responsibility and ensuring their implementation
• Coordinating tool trials, sampling and production ramp-ups through to final approval
• Planning and implementing tool modifications and technical optimisations
• Developing practical, cost-effective and sustainable improvements to production tools in collaboration with the Production departments
• Maintaining and managing all tooling-related documentation
• Monitoring relevant key performance indicators and preparing status reports
• Ensuring compliance with all quality guidelines and tool management processes

Your Profile

• Completed qualification as a state-certified technician, industrial master craftsperson or master craftsperson in metalworking
• Candidates from a design engineering background with experience in tooling are also welcome
• Knowledge of plastics processing and toolmaking is desirable
• Proven leadership skills
• Assertiveness and strong communication skills
• Strong quality awareness and organisational skills
• Strategic thinking skills
• Experience in sourcing tools from international markets
• A team-oriented approach, reliability, commitment and punctuality
• Written and spoken English would be an advantage
